Privacy Policy

What Hardline may receive from visitors and customers, what Polar handles at checkout, and how we use product and support data.

1. Information We Collect

If you email Hardline, we get your name, email address, and whatever else you put in the message.

When you make a purchase, checkout, billing, and payment details are collected and processed by Polar. We do not directly store full payment card information on this site.

2. How We Use Information

We use it to answer emails, deliver purchases, handle support, and keep the site running.

We may also use transaction or support records to enforce our terms, stop fraud, and meet legal obligations.

3. Polar and Third-Party Services

Purchases are handled through Polar, which may collect and process personal data as part of payment processing, tax handling, fraud screening, and order fulfillment.

Your use of Polar's services during checkout is also subject to Polar's own privacy practices and legal terms.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics on hardline.dev to see aggregate traffic: page views, referrers, browser and device type, and general location. Plausible does not use cookies for this and does not build advertising profiles.

We have outbound link tracking turned on, so clicks to external sites may be counted as events in Plausible.

Plausible processes this data on our behalf. See https://plausible.io/privacy-policy for how they handle it.

Hosting logs may still record technical data like IP address, browser type, and request metadata for performance and security.

5. Data Retention

We keep communications and transaction records only as long as we need them for support, recordkeeping, disputes, and legal or tax requirements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal data we hold about you.

To make a privacy-related request, email contact@hardline.dev.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy when operations, law, or products change. If you keep using the site after an update, the new version applies.

8. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@hardline.dev.
